Marchie Ames

Our national favourite sport, shopping. Well, I think on an average, we will bring Ames out for shopping at least every fornight. Our usual haunts will be Taka and maybe Isetan for the convenience of parking and the nice baby rooms. But recently, been lazy not to bring out the mummy's bag too.Or rather, has become a more confident mummy by packing less.

Here is letting Ames taste of a soft cuddly toy. Tigger's the best friend for him now. At Taka baby fair, he was trying to be the helper by pushing Baby Aden around in the mall.

Was a jam packed Saturday for Ames. Had breakfast with cousins and also visited the library. Was supposed to be a quiet public place but this little guy had alot up his sleeve. Played hide and seek and peek a boo all around.

Will use the book shelves as a gauge for his growing height :)

Not that Ames is walking perfectly well. He can stand pretty upright and steady but he still chose to stay close to the ground by prefering to crawl. So fearful of falling down. Overly cautious fella. I like to play with him very much. It's this mischevious feeling that makes me acede to being a naughty mom too.

Giving you all the snap shots that display his michevious look. He has yet to learn to hide his emotions. That's why kids don't lie.

Happiness after grandma allowed him to sit on the book shelf and swang his legs at a height.

If only he can give me a good foot massage too.

Learning to take care of public books.

Evidence of coming accidents. Ames like to think he's still a small size pine that can slip through easily. After numerous accidents, we have since isolated the coffee table once again. The resurrection of the table was barely a week before we gave in to child friendly living hall.

What gets him big is Enfa Pro milk. I buy in cartons but not anymore since the staff discount is removed. What a deprived benefit especially in times like this year!
Shall always find our possibilities in every crisis. So bread tasting :) Sandwich! Welcome to Subway Ames!

Stoning away too. Not sure what has attracted him or locked himself in his world for some moments. He was practically sitting against the door and just staring blankly. Like any adult who want to be undisturbed.

And the eyes started to get sleepier and smaller.

Checklist:
1. Clearly display happiness when see food
2. Able to pick up the xiao man tou and share only if he knows there's plenty to go around
3. Loves to remove his own socks everytime
4. Walks about 5 steps unassisted
5. Call "mum mum" for food
6. Entertain mom's cooking despite the bad taste (thanks for encouragement)
7. Still hates water but only if given through spoon
8. Waves Bye Bye if I think he cannot wait to see me leave him in the arms' of caregivers
9. Sitting in car seat during the morning rides to grandparents' place is a smooth thing BUT returning back home is a weepy and screaming sessions always! Non-stop struggling out of car seats. Been forced to remain with grandparents 2x!
10. Trouble with sleeping. Late sleeper at 10.30pm or even 11pm!

1st Year after Hatched

HOW did we do it?
Just celebrated the newly minted toddler's birthday yesterday. One Year Old...or should it be the inaugural celebration for Ames first year. It was a simple fare with lots of nice presents and tokens from both his friends. Thank your for both your presence which is utmost the most important gifts and the nice tokens of appreciation for the little kid. Here are some shots taken during the event for the little kid.

"Hi everyone, welcome to my 1st birthday party!"

Boys will always be boys. Not only, this cheeky fella has fast fingers that even spotted the cream for play. Taking pictures for kids is a forever daunting session as to get them looking and in good smiles for the camera is alway a But kudos to big Uncle Sean that helps these nice pictures.

" Your party will soon come too"

One year has past so fast that I think I have problems trying to recollect some of the memories. Nonetheless, is still many more years to come with Ames and family. So, Happy Birthday Ames. Grow up healthily and love us.
